This initiative provides grant funding to bases to support the welfare and amenity available to Air Force Aviators and their dependants. Such as mess furniture, equipment and games, kitchen appliances and community events.
The Base Welfare Grant Scheme is run in parallel with Hamilton Funding Initiative.
These separate grant funding processes are combined because the RWTF Board Chair is also the Defence Hamilton delegate.
Grants (or loans) to individuals in exceptional circumstances of financial hardship. Typically arising from sudden and unexpected expenses which cannot be met from other sources in the given timeframe, caused by natural disasters or family medical and travel costs – considered on a case-by-case basis and of modest value.
Support may also be available in some cases to former serving Aviators or their dependants.
